At the bottomof the slip is where the musels were kept until shipment to Crail etc for bait . There was an active mussel fishery there in the mid to late 50s .

The last Mussel boat was run by Jackie Phillip and my stepfather Peter Harley . The boat was called the “Leslie” after Jackies daughter.Jackie and his wife Mary are buried next to my mother and step father In Vicarsford Cemetry.9ek..RIP
