Memories

I stumbled upon this web site and was amazed at some of the old photographs. They brought back so many fond memories of growing up in Tayport. I actually found one with a picture of myself in the Tayport Instrumental Band from the 1969-1970 season!

I came to Tayport with my parents from Glasgow around 1949-50 and went to Tayport school and then to Madras College. I left Tayport in 1974 and lived in Glasgow until emigrating to the USA in 1987. I now live in a small city of approx 100,000 called Mission Viejo in southern california. I married Ellen (nee Sallans) from Glasgow in 1980 and we have 2 sons (19 and 21) who were born in Scotland but raised in California. We are all dual citizens of the UK and USA.

I would love to hear from anyone from Tayport who remembers me. It’s been a long time since I was last in Tayport (about 7 years ago)!

I lived at 22 Reform street and both my parents who are in their late 80’s now live at 3 Craigview court (the lane off provost road).
