My Grandfather Charles Findlay was the keeper 30/40’s.My Mother and Father have just celebrated their 65th wedding aniversary being married in the front room at East Lights cottage on 25th January 1941.I bought and restored the cottage in 1991.

Our son was a U. S. Navy exchange pilot staioned at Luchers during the years from 1998 to 2001 and chose to live off base and rented this charming home. We visited the U. K. nine times during his deployment and enjoyed our visits so much. This is a unique piece of history as I believe the house was surveyed by Robert Louis Stevenson.
