The lampost on the left of the photo is outside No 47 castle street where I lived as a boy from 1959 util my mother and step fathers death in 1985.The house was then sold on.

My Grandfather, Archibald Berry Brown, lived on Castle Street. His widowed mother was Helen and he had two brothers, one of whom was James k/a Jim. Archie was in the Merchant Navy and met his future wife in port at Bristol. He drowned after being torpedoed on an Atlantic Convoy during WWII. Does anyone have any memories to share?
