The white house on the left was my home. from 1935 til 1955. Thanks Andy, its first time Ive seen it since it was reconstructed.

I think the house just visible on the left with the railings is where my aunt, Molly Harris, lived until she died in the early 1950’s. I think she lived in the lower flat and I recall being there when very young and seeing from her window the Fifie (Tay Ferries) making a crossing.

The shop on the bottom left hand corner was my great uncle Alec Roger’s grocery store long ago . In the mid 50s I used to help deliver groceries from the same shop but I cant remember who owned it at that time .

The shop at the bottom left was a grocers . It was owned by my late fathers uncle Alec Roger , It was Thompsons as I recollect in the mid 50’s . I used to help deiver messages and pick up orders on a Saturday helping Lyle Croal who drove the message bike . A big heavy thing with an oversized basket on the front . After deliveries we had to bike to Newport to the chicken farm which was opposite Rogers wood and pick up a large order of eggs for the stores weekly supply .
