Hello Sheena. Where are you now? Jim and I are in Bo’ness near Falkirk but have a caravan in Tayport. I used to look after Mrs Brunton’s house, her husband, her brother in law, her nephew Bert Aitken and Gordon White when she went on holiday once a year. Gordon was a wee delight. I loved looking after him! The first time I picked strawberries, I ate so many I was sick. That cured me.

Hello Sheena. I do remember these berry picking summers. I worked there for quite a few years, helping Mrs Brunton in the house and delivering berry orders in Tayport. Once a year, Mrs Brunton had a holiday down south and I lived there for a week to look after and feed everyone, including Gordon White. He was an absolute delight and Good fun. He loved weddings so we invited him to ours. He had his photo taken with me and I believe he had that photo by his bedside till the day he died. He was the life and soul of the reception and danced all night. Happy memories!
