My Grandfather James Roger of Whinbrae Tayport was supposed to go to Dundee on that day . My Grand mother Catherine nee Braid had a bad feeling and talked him into staying home . The rest is history .

My great great grandfather Peter Harley was one of the divers searched for the bodies. My great grandfather Robert Ireland Pryde woked for the railway.

Peter Harley born May 22nd 1856 Died March 31st 1887 in Tayport Harbour along with another crew member on board the FisherLass (He had lead boots on and couldn,t be retrived from the water in time)he was one of the divers looking for survivors in the Tay Bridge Rail Disaster, Widow Isabella Harley (Carstairs thay married December 31 1877 in Tayport.
