Would like to hear from people who lived in Tayport in 1960 We were newly weds then and lived there whilst my husband was based at RAF Leuchars for a couple of year. We are hoping to visit there later in the year. Would like to know how much it has changed since then. We lived in a house on Commonty Road (I think that was the name. It was also called another name but cannot re call it.

The thieves nicked our car from Elizabeth St. to transport the loot to Tentsmuir, where they forced open a small safe they had taken, only to find bags of coins which they dumped. Brian Wyles, one of the tellers, complained of green fingers from counting all the coppers. The car was found in Glasgow by the Police.
Had a great afternoon going through all the photographs - wonderful to recognize so many names such as Catherine Jaraszkiewicz, Marjorie Duff, Robert Gourlay and Greta Gaul - aah, where have the years gone?

When the bank was broken into in the 1960s tools were stolen from Jacky Cooper’s smiddy in Shanwell road to bend the bars at the back of the bank.
