Unlike the front, the back view of Tayport School has changed completely. From very early on it became clear that space was at a premium, and as the twentieth century progressed accommodation became a real problem… The problem was solved by various extensions and alterations, in particular that large 1936 extension which covers the entire back face of the building.

There were buildings erected where they taught science woodwork and housekeeping
